New Zealand makes 243/3 on Opening day of the 2nd Test Match
Talented opener Tom Latham playing his sixth Test leads New Zealand to a good start on first day of the second test match and steering his team to 243/3 against Pakistan for three wickets at the close.

New Zealand 243/3 at close on the opening day, Tom Latham hitting a second successive hundred with 137 not out with Corey Anderson on seven, Shan said the situation is not worrying for Pakistan.
At the age of 22 years, Tom Latham became the third New Zealand opener to do so after Bert Sutcliffe and Glenn Turner and youngest non Asian opener who make two Test hundreds in Asia.
The only real chance that Latham offered, on 103, had been put down by Azhar Ali at gully off Adil, and Pakistan weren’t able to break the opener’s resistance on the day.
Ahmed Shehzad and Muhammad Hafeez were replaced by Shan Masood and Taufeeq Umar while pace man Imran Khan was rested and made way for Ehsan Adil.
