Pakistan makes 269 runs against New Zealand on first day

Pakistan will continue to attack a New Zealand team who also struggle and have not won a Test series against Pakistan at home in 1985.

Pakistan made an outstanding score to the first Test against New Zealand as an Ahmed Shehzad century helped them close day one on 269 runs for one wicket of Muhammad Hafeez .

Ahmed Shehzad reached unbeaten on 126 runs not out after his partner Muhammad Hafeez just missed out his century when he was dismissed for 96 runs.

Azhar Ali next to Muhammad Hafeez, after scoring two centuries in last Test Pakistan played against Australia, was made an unbeaten 46 runs today against New Zealand.
